Soul Food Gospel Radio Receives Three GX Awards 2026 Nominations
Soul Food Gospel Radio is pleased to announce three nominations at the GX Awards 2026, recognising excellence in Christian broadcasting and media.
The nominations acknowledge the work of the station, its presenters and original programming, and reflect over a decade of serving audiences through gospel music, inspirational content and community-focused broadcasting.
The 9th Annual GX Awards will take place on Saturday, 5 September 2026, at the historic Birmingham Town Hall.
Outstanding Radio Station (UK)
Since its launch in 2013, Soul Food Gospel Radio has remained committed to providing quality Christian programming while supporting established and emerging gospel artists from the UK and beyond.
The station continues to expand its reach through music, interviews, teaching programmes and specialist shows, with the aim of encouraging, informing and inspiring listeners around the world.
Being shortlisted in the Outstanding Radio Station (UK) category is an honour and a reflection of the commitment shown by every presenter, volunteer and contributor who has helped shape the station over the years.
Outstanding Radio Presenter
Station founder DJ Val has been nominated for Outstanding Radio Presenter.
Through his work both on and off air, DJ Val has consistently championed gospel music, supported independent artists and developed programming that connects with audiences across the UK and internationally.
This nomination recognises years of dedication to Christian broadcasting and the continued development of Soul Food Gospel Radio as a respected voice within gospel media.
Outstanding TV Programme / Podcast
“What’s On Your Mind” with Olive has also been nominated in the Outstanding TV Programme / Podcast category.
The programme has established itself as a platform for thoughtful discussion, exploring issues affecting everyday life from a Christian perspective. Covering topics such as faith, family, relationships, health and personal development, it continues to engage viewers through honest conversation and practical insight.
The nomination recognises the quality of the programme and the dedication invested in producing meaningful and relevant content each week.
