Record of the Month: Unglued, TJB & Esther Durin – Heaven
Our Record of the Month is something a little different: "Heaven" by Unglued, TJB and Esther Durin. It's uplifting soul over drum and bass, with a gospel heart, and it's out now as part of Drum&BassArena's 30th Anniversary series.
Gospel has always travelled into other sounds, and this one proves it again. Esther's voice brings faith straight onto the dancefloor, and the production lifts it all the way up.
Meet the artists
Esther Durin is a singer-songwriter born and raised in South East London, with Nigerian roots. Her music blends Afrobeats and R&B with a clear gospel message. Before focusing on Christian music she worked with artists including Burna Boy and Headie One, and her single "Royal Blood" with Anike took her to a worldwide audience.
Unglued is a drum and bass producer and DJ on Hospital Records, known for high-energy sets and his 2021 debut album Interplanetary Radio. He's teamed up here with fellow producer TJB.
